Mace Pepper Gel is Pepper Spray in a Gel form. Mace who developed this Pepper Spray wanted something different as a defensive spray. They mixed some stronger pepper with a Gel substance to increase the distance the spray would go, and that would stick to the assailant better. Mace put 10% hot Pepper Spray into a larger container and made it spray a distance of 18 feet. They added Uv (ultra-violet) dye to it to mark the assailant. The canister held enough to have 7 one second bursts of spray. The spray does stick and do what it was designed to do very well.

One of the reasons people use Pepper Spray is to disable an attacker long enough to escape to a safe place and call the police. If you look at the possible problems this Pepper Gel could create, and the time an assailant could gather his wits together, you can see there could be added time that would be in the victims favor. In addition the victim should have had the spray easy to get to, when they begin to feel uneasy about a location or the people in the immediate area. This would be especially important for joggers, walkers or bikers.
